National Conservation Day is one of the environmental commemoration days in Indonesia. The implementation of this commemoration day is an effort to campaign to the community on the importance of nature conservation for the welfare of the community.

National Conservation Day is celebrated every August 10. This commemoration was started in 2009, in 2019, the National Conservation Day commemoration was held in Torosiaje Village, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province. A total of 20 biology students joined several other environmental organizations to do mangrove planting on the coast of Torosiaje Village.

One of the goals of commemorating National Conservation Day is to provide education to the public in saving natural ecosystems. This education can be in the form of introducing the community to biodiversity and its ecological role in nature so that a sense of caring arises, and together we become conservation actors.
