Biology education study program, Faculty of Mathematics and natural sciences is one of the Study Programs in the Department of Biology UNG.

The vision of the Biology study program is to be excellent and competitive in the management of biological resources based on cultural and regional potential in the Southeast Asian region in the field of biology. The curriculum of the study program is designed to realize the vision and mission of the Biology study program which is translated into various courses from elements of personality competence, knowledge and skills, expertise and work behaviour as well as social life.

In order to realize the vision of the biology study program to be excellent and competitive in the management of biological resources that able to compete in the Southeast Asian region, several courses presented in the curriculum include environmental knowledge, plant structure and development, animal structure and development, ethnobotany, natural resource conservation and coastal resource management, while the courses that embody the vision based on local culture include Ethnobotany, Coastal Resource Management. Then to achieve the vision of regional potential it includes courses, Biotechnology, Natural Resources Conservation, Biology Research Projects, Coastal Ecology, Marine and Coastal Biology.
